Project Description
This virtual tour project was developed for Alterbridge University in Tbilisi, Georgia, with the primary goal of offering prospective students, parents, and international partners an immersive and interactive way to explore the campus remotely.
Using the Matterport Pro2 3D camera, I captured high-resolution 3D scans of key locations across the campus. These scans were then enhanced and customized using Matterport’s cloud platform in combination with 3DVista, a powerful software tool for creating interactive virtual experiences.
🔍 Key Features of the Virtual Tour:
-
Full 3D navigation with Matterport’s photorealistic rendering
-
Custom hotspots and multimedia annotations added in 3DVista
-
Smooth transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces
-
Multilingual interface to support international visitors
-
Mobile and VR headset compatibility for a wide range of devices
-
Brand-aligned UI/UX matching Alterbridge University’s visual identity
🎯 Project Objectives:
-
Increase international student engagement
-
Support digital marketing and virtual open days
-
Provide easy access to the campus experience without travel
-
Integrate with the university’s website and social media campaigns
This project was completed during my time at iHomePedia, where I was responsible for the full process — from field scanning with Matterport Pro2 to final deployment on the university’s website using 3DVista enhancements.
